Requirements

Drying

All adhering flesh, membrane, and cartilage must be completely removed before the drying period begins.

 To be eligible for entry in the Bowhunting in Arizona Records, a trophy must first have been stored under normal room temperature* and humidity for at least 60 days after the date of harvest.  No trophy will be considered which has been altered in any way from its natural state.

*Turkey's are the one exception and may be kept under refrigeration during the 60 day drying period.

Applying

1. Fully completed Score Sheet from Bowhunting In Arizona, Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett, a witness, and the Official Measurer. To review BIA’s minimum measurements click here. Photocopy of score sheet entered to P&Y or B&C is acceptable.

2.  Fully completed BIA Application Form signed by the hunter.

3.  Fully completed BIA Fair Chase Affidavit, signed by the hunter and a witness.

4. Three (3) photographs of the antlers, horns, skull, or beard and spurs (see below for examples).

5.   One (1) photograph of the entire animal in the field, with the hunter, if available.

6.  A $20 application processing fee which can be paid by check or money order payable to Bowhunting in Arizona, or here.

7. Mail the completed Score Sheet, Application form, Fair Chase Affidavit, photograph(s), and entry fee (if not paid online) to:

Score Sheets

Entering a non-measurable trophy

Use for entering bobcats, coyotes, foxes, or female/male big game animals that otherwise can’t be entered or don’t meet the species minimum but can be entered in order to meet the requirements for the Cochise or Kaibab awards. A list of hunters who have taken/entered any of the three small predators will be listed in separate sections in the record book.

Applying

1. Fully completed Application Form signed by the hunter and a witness.

2.  Fully completed Fair Chase Affidavit, signed by the hunter.

3.   One (1) photograph of the entire animal in the field, with the hunter, if available.

4.  A $20 application processing fee which can be paid by check or money order payable to Bowhunting in Arizona, or here.

5.  Mail the completed Application form, Fair Chase Affidavit, photograph(s), and entry fee (if not completed online) to:
